5 new channels: Kabelio expands offering to 38 channels

Pfäffikon / Freienbach, March 31, 2021. Just five months after the launch of the new Kabelio TV service via satellite, viewers in Switzerland can look forward to five new channels. 

New to the portfolio are the Swiss private channel SWISS1 HD, blue ZOOM D HD and access to the French channels France 3, France 4 and France 5. Kabelio thus now offers 38 TV channels, many of which have not previously been broadcast via satellite. In addition, many other channels from all over the world can be received free-to-air via Kabelio.

SWISS1 HD offers a varied programming line-up with Hollywood blockbusters, series and Swiss in-house productions, and with blue ZOOM D HD, sports fans will now also get premium content. With France 3, France 4 and France 5 we complete our channel portfolio in French, which now already includes eight channels."

Kabelio reception

To receive the Kabelio channels, viewers need a satellite system tuned to the Eutelsat Hotbird 13 degrees East position. Cardless access to Kabelio is provided by the Kabelio CI+ module, which, like the familiar SRG modules, is simply inserted into the corresponding slot in the TV or set-top box. After the CI+ module has been registered on the Kabelio website, the three-month free phase begins, during which viewers can test the offer free of charge. Buy Kabelio and extend flexibly

The recommended retail price of the Kabelio module is CHF 59 including the three-month free phase. It is sold via online stores. After the free phase, customers can choose between three renewal options: three months for CHF 49, six months for CHF 79 or 12 months for CHF 149. A contractual commitment or subscription is therefore not necessary for the new Kabelio offer.
